Botswana is Africa’s triumph, a landlocked country bordered by South Africa, Namibia, Zimbabwe and Zambia. The Kalahari Desert – a sand filled basin averaging 1.1 metres above sea level cover 84% of the country’s surface area. The rest is complemented by the Okavango Delta – a swampland in the north-west of Botswana fed by the Okavango River from the highlands of Angola. This land of the desert and delta is one of the last untouched places in Africa, home to some of the most extra ordinary ecosystems on earth and a paradise for nature lovers and wildlife enthusiasts.
